started in business as Australian Black Peat in 1986.
Harry Grange and one employee began making casing layer for the mushroom industry.
They supplied Australian blends of peat to mushroom growers throughout New South Wales. After a few years as the business grew, Simon Grange, Harry's son joined the business.
In 1995 they decided to extend the company and begin manufacturing Potting Mix. At this time Harry's two other children, Ben and Anna, joined the business.
Initially both businesses were run from the five acre property at Maraylya.

The company is a pioneer in the use of coconut fibre, also known as Coir, as the base for potting mixes.
We are constantly working with other companies to develop more consistent products for the horticulture industry.
Grange Growing Solutions aims to provide a reliable service and a consistent product. We have always positioned the company to provide a quality product at a reasonable price. This is reflected in the growing customer demand we have for our products.
 

The success of the Potting Mix business forced Harry to expand into the Ebenezer facility.
This facility is purpose built for manufacturing potting mixes. As part of the operation they also built a bagging plant that services customers such Yates, Richgro, Brunnings and other large retail nurseries.

Grange Growing Solutions is a quality assured company producing potting mixes to Australian Standards AS3743.

The picture on the left shows potting mix being manufactured at our specially  designed facility in Ebenezer.
